Hello everyone,
I am here to write about my work with aiXplain, an innovative project that aims to help students fund their education campaigns by teaching them self-reliance and by using their language skills. When I heard about this project for the first time, I was hesitant about joining because I thought that I was not good enough in the Arabic dialects. Then I decided to try. I succeeded on the exam and started working with the aiXplain team in March 2022. At first, I worked as an annotator, but I encountered many challenges. The website needed strong internet service which I didn’t have, but I didn’t stop. I insisted on continuing because the people at aiXplain told me that I am the person with the most consistent data quality so I could become a reviewer. As result, I am working now as a QA specialist and I can say it is a great opportunity in my life that has helped me to fund my education. Now, because of my income, I can help my family and my brother who is studying abroad. I have learned so much from the content of the audio files and I hope to learn even more from them.
I like that there is teamwork with this organization and good communication between all of us. We have Zoom meetings weekly with Ibrahim Al-Hariri and the students working on this project, and we all give him feedback. Then Ibrahim and Bashar Alallawi meet with the aiXplain team. They work on fixing the problems that we students face, and I am grateful to be with them. I would like to thank aiXplain and the VIP.fund for providing us with projects that help us.
