Syrian, from Daraa; seeking Undergraduate degree in Nursing and is enrolled at Zarqa University.
My name is Ammar Ghaleb Al-Masri. I am 17 years old. I live with my family at the Al-Zaatari camp. We first arrived in Al-Zaatari two months after it was established.
I completed my secondary education in the camp and scored 71.3 in my high school diploma. It was difficult to achieve better results due to my difficult financial situation. I had to work and study at the same time. This has adversely affected my grades. I want to study nursing. I feel that employment prospects in this profession are promising.
My hard work was recognized in many awards and certificates of academic excellence, particularly in English. When I first arrived in Al-Zaatari, I enrolled in extracurricular activities like drawing, Arabic Calligraphy, and mosaics. I also enrolled in training in fields like life skills, peer education, pioneering projects. I participated in the Arabic Language Reading challenge sponsored by the Mohammad Bin Rashed Al-Maktoum global award.
When I graduate college, I will be the first member of my family to hold a university degree. I would like to thank the sponsors for promoting a positive competitive attitude among candidates.
I feel lucky to have been chosen for the PT scholarship. I am grateful to PT and EdSeed for the great opportunity that they opened to me.
