Syrian, from Damascus; seeking Undergraduate degree in Computer Science and is enrolled at AUCE.
In 2014, at just 14, I faced a life-changing challenge. Moving from Kuwait to Lebanon, I encountered barriers in language, curriculum, and society. Once a top student, I suddenly found myself struggling, failing classes, and becoming one of the lowest performers in my new school. This setback cost me four years academically, leaving me frustrated and ready to give up on education.
Two people refused to let that happen—my father, Anwar, and a remarkable teacher named Shireen. Shireen welcomed me into her home, offering personalized lessons and emotional support. At the same time, my father’s unwavering belief in me kept me going, even when I doubted myself.
With their support, I persevered, caught up, and excelled. I pursued computer science, earning a perfect 100% in my first semester and receiving multiple awards. During college, I volunteered for two years with UNHCR and Caritas, supervising displaced students to ensure their safety in and out of school.
Inspired by my journey, I founded **HELLO WORLD**—a place where creativity is unlocked, dreams are nurtured, and students rediscover their passion for learning. HELLO WORLD goes beyond teaching—it inspires students to live with purpose, embrace challenges, and transform their lives.
I am in my senior year. I was not able to register due to financial duress. The university called and said they are willing to wave the minimum requirement and wanted me to attend. With your help I will be able to graduate in a year.

How Do You Plan to Payback?
After graduation, I am committed to giving back to my community. Support isn't just a phase—it's a fundamental part of my values. I believe in actively contributing to those in need, leveraging my skills and resources to build a stronger, more supportive community. My dedication to service, evident in my past experiences, will drive me to continue helping others and making a positive impact beyond my success.
